Behind the Lens: Atiba Jefferson’s Inspiring Visit to the University of Oregon

Atiba Jefferson, recently visited the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon. This video documents Atiba’s 3-day visit, which included classroom takeovers, student portfolio reviews, Canon product demos, a main presentation of Atiba’s work, and a hands-on student workshop at the local skate park, led by Atiba.

Atiba Jefferson is an American photographer known for his extensive work in skateboarding photography, having contributed to major publications and currently working at Thrasher Magazine. Originally from Colorado Springs, he moved to California in 1995 and has also made a significant impact in basketball photography as a staff photographer for the LA Lakers during their championship years. In addition to skateboarding and basketball, Atiba has worked with numerous commercial clients, capturing a wide range of subjects including music and everyday life.
